What lease terms are available to students?
Academic Year 10-month | August - May Full Term 12-month | August - July
Can I be my own guarantor?
To be eligible to be your own guarantor, you must make 3x the monthly installment amount.
Can I move in during the semester?
You can move in during the semester, depending on availability!
Can I cancel my lease agreement after I sign it?
All cancellation requests need to be made in writing; no verbal requests will be accepted.
A decision will be made after the cancellation request is received.
If you have signed the contract, you will be held to the cancellation policy as stated in your lease agreement.
How do I submit maintenance requests?
You can submit your maintenance requests through your resident portal.
Are there housing options for non-students?
We do have limited availability for non-students!
Are children allowed?
Children under the age of 2 can reside with you without the additional cost and second lease. Any child 2 years of age or older will need their own bedspace, and additional leases will be required to be signed.
Are pets allowed?
No, we are not a pet-friendly community. Only Emotional Support and Service Animals are allowed on the property!
Can I live with my friends?
Yes! You can live with your friends as long as availability permits! Be sure to match with them on RoomSync!
Is The Village Co-ed?
We are gender inclusive! To opt in, specify in your application that you opt in to gender inclusive housing!
What is roommate matching and how does it work?
We utilize RoomSync as our matching system. You will be able to fill out a questionnaire on your living styles and answer how you would like your roommate to answer as well. You will also be able to see other students looking for roommates as well, and match with them!
Where do I make my payment?
If you are a Nevada State Student, you will make your payment to the Cashier's Office on campus
If you are a CSN or non-NSC student, you will make your payment to The Village's Leasing Office.
Is there a deposit?
$200 security deposit
Is there an application fee?
$60 fee
When are housing installments due?
For the fall, payment will be due on 8/1
For the spring, payment will be due on 1/1
For the summer, payment will be due on 5/1
Can I use financial aid or scholarships to pay for my housing installments?
Yes! Once your financial aid or scholarship money is distributed, it will be applied to all tuition and university fees first, then any remaining money can be applied to housing.
